The Personal Information Protection Law was amended last year, and it is about to come into effect on April 4, next year. I think that many Japanese companies are busy responding, but it seems that there are many people in charge who are worried about how to respond. This time, I will explain the newly introduced "personally identifiable information" and the contents of the safety control measures that are considered to be of interest. In addition, through specific examples, the seminar will explain practical points in an easy-to-understand manner, such as how Japanese companies should respond to the new third-party regulations on personally identifiable information and how they should stipulate safety control measures in their privacy policies and other documents.
In Part 1, I will explain the amendments to the Personal Information Protection Law based on the example of the transfer of location and other information to a U.S. company through an application provided by a sports manufacturer.
Only members can watch it.
