Scott Kamholtz is a member of the Patent Litigation Group at Covinton Burling LLP.Previously, he was the Administrative Patent Judge (“APJ”) of the United States Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). He has worked on hundreds of PTAB cases as judges and lawyers. He is a savvy expert on the PTAB process, has been an invited speaker about 30 times, and has commented and articles in 80 publications. He has the experience of acting on behalf of both patent owners and patent challengers in PTAB projects, leading many projects to victory.In addition to lawyers and patent lawyers, he is also a qualified physician and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics.
