Yasuaki Murakami Attorney/Former prosecutor
Born in Yamagata Prefecture. Graduated from Chuo University in 57, he was appointed as a prosecutor in 60. He subsequently worked as a prosecutor attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Foreign Policy Bureau, Cabinet Counsellor, Deputy Chief of the Criminal Affairs Division of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office, and Chief of the Criminal Affairs Division of the Fukuoka District Public Prosecutors Office, before registering as an attorney in 19. He subsequently served as an auditor for Global Dining Co., Ltd. and vice chairman of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations' Committee on International Criminal Legislation.
Regarding the Johnny's sexual assault case, while many have argued that the delay in amending the sexual crime law was to blame, he was the first to point out that "he was arrested for violating the Child Welfare Act." He is a popular commentator on YouTube for his quick and easy-to-understand analysis, such as explaining the possibility of bank fraud and plea bargaining before the investigation into the Mizuhara Ippei case began.
