The theme of this lecture was how to identify what a company should seriously address from among the many whistleblowing reports that are received, and how to respond appropriately.As the number of whistle-blowing cases continues to increase, our experience has led us to believe that, ``Oh, this problem was reported internally, right?'' and ``If we had looked deeper into this issue at the time of whistle-blowing, it wouldn't have become this serious.'' There are an increasing number of cases where theIf such whistle-blowing is overlooked, not only will the opportunity to discover the problem be missed early, but the company's ability to self-clean itself will be questioned.
How on earth can I avoid being accused of ``missing the whistleblower report''? A former Consumer Affairs Agency official in charge of the revised Whistleblower Protection Act, which came into effect in June 2022, will share the know-how he gained in the public and private sectors.
