In order to deal with corporate crimes committed with respect to highly complex, internationalized, and digitized corporate activities, it is important to develop an incentive structure that encourages companies themselves to conduct fraud prevention and detection activities at an appropriate level (see Part XNUMX). And for such incentives to function properly, there must be a platform that allows for fair negotiations between companies and the relevant authorities, as well as transparency in the exercise of discretion by the relevant authorities regarding the handling of cases.
