The CTA is intended to help identify beneficial ownership and control of entities operating in the United States to facilitate federal, state, and foreign government anti-terrorism, anti-money laundering, and tax collection efforts. I'm here.The Act provides for corporations eligible to incorporate or do business in the United States, except corporations that benefit from one of the many exemptions offered, by individuals who substantially own and control the corporation, or imposes an obligation to report individuals who have contributed to its establishment.

Partner Jeff Schlepfer
Jeff Schrepfer is an advisor to Japanese corporations in connection with their mission-critical foreign acquisitions and investments in North America, Europe and Asia.
Jeff’s practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, investments and joint ventures, and general corporate counseling for publicly and privately held companies. His experience includes acquisitions in the United States, Europe and Asia and spans several industry sectors, including the semiconductor, automotive, pharmaceutical and service industries. He also has experience advising Japanese clients on both domestic and international sell-side transactions that involve non-Japanese counterparties. In addition to his core M&A experience, Jeff has also handled several cross-border oil and gas transactions.
While in college, he studied abroad at Nagoya University. Before entering law school, he worked as an analyst at Bridgestone's corporate planning department for three years. After that, he worked at the Tokyo branch of Societe Generale, a major French bank, for four years, mainly in Japan. Acted as a financial derivatives broker and analyst for clients of banks and other financial institutions.
