From e-discovery support and forensic investigations to healthcare business, FRONTEO's foundations are supported by technology backed by behavioral information science. The Behavioral Information Science Laboratory, which produces FRONTEO's technology, develops the KIBIT Automator software and the KIBIT AI engine on a daily basis.

KIBIT Automator" is capable of dealing with special character codes unique to Japanese, identifying difficult delimiter positions in Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and other Asian languages, and dealing with mailers unique to Asia. Unlike the use of other companies' products, the software is self-developed and can be flexibly customized for customers' proprietary systems and special data.

For data storage, FRONTEO provides the "Intelligence Cloud," a cloud platform that enables the provision of FRONTEO's various applications as SaaS. Having a cloud environment at both domestic and overseas locations allows data to be stored in the home country, avoiding the risk of forced disclosure or inadvertent information leaks by foreign authorities, including those in the United States.

Unique Artificial Intelligence

KIBIT, an AI engine developed for the purpose of "information discovery," reproduces "human judgment" with a small amount of supervised data.

KIBIT" is an artificial intelligence engine originally developed by FRONTEO in Japan, combining the artificial intelligence-related technologies of Landscaping and Behavioral Information Science. KIBIT" means "artificial intelligence that can learn human subtleties" by combining "KIBI" (subtleties of the human mind) and "BIT" (bit), a unit of information quantity. By reading the meaning of sentences from texts and learning the tacit knowledge and senses of humans, it can reproduce the way people make decisions and select information on their behalf.

When important documents are learned in advance, the software can sort a large number of documents in order of priority by assigning higher scores to documents that are closer to the content of the documents. This is effective for streamlining operations that require a large amount of review by human eyes and for finding important documents that cannot be found by keyword search alone.
