PCs and e-mails of several Company B subjects (16 terminals in total) were preserved and digital forensics was conducted. KIBIT conducted up to the first review of the preserved and restored data.
In this case, KIBIT contributed to (1) the accurate narrowing of review targets and (2) the early discovery of important/relevant documents.
KIBIT was able to narrow down the review target from approximately 1,700,000 documents to approximately 24,000 documents through search, de-duplication, and email threading.
After the KIBIT score ranking, about 4,000 documents (17% of the total) were reviewed on the first day, and about 50 documents (88% of the total) were found to be important/relevant, contributing to the early detection of important documents.
