Preserved PCs, smartphones, tablets, e-mails, and chats (95 terminals in total) of several Company C subjects and conducted digital forensics. We conducted the first review of the preserved and restored data. Some terminals were only preserved and not subject to review.
In this case, KIBIT contributed to (1) precise targeting of review targets and (2) early discovery of important/relevant documents.
The number of review targets was approximately 680,000, but KIBIT was able to narrow it down to approximately 44,000 by performing search, de-duplication, and email threading.
After sorting the 44,000 documents for primary review by KIBIT score, we found 2,200 documents (60% of all important/relevant documents) on the first day of the six-day review period. By the end of the third day, the middle of the review period, 84% of the total number of important/relevant documents, or approximately 3,000 documents, were detected, contributing to early detection.
