(3) Preserved PCs, smartphones, e-mails, and approximately 1,000 chats (12 terminals and external recording media) of several Company F subjects, and conducted digital forensics. KIBIT conducted up to the first review of the preserved and restored data.
In this case, KIBIT contributed to (1) precise targeting of review targets and (2) early discovery of important/relevant documents.
KIBIT was able to narrow down the review target from approximately 980,000 documents to approximately 22,000 documents through search, de-duplication, and email threading.
After sorting the 22,000 documents for primary review by KIBIT score, 88% of all important/relevant documents, or approximately 940 documents, were detected on the first day of the six-day review schedule, contributing to early detection.
